Structure
Surface microstructure and topology, the digital fingerprint no other scanner resolves.
← ALETHRA™ SCAN
Every work certified under the ALETHRA™ mark begins here. One scan reads the object itself, its structure, its composition, its material DNA, and seals a deterministic baseline that proves authenticity, exposes alteration, and defends the work for the rest of its existence. No NFC. No QR. Nothing attached.
What the scan sees
Surface microstructure and topology, the digital fingerprint no other scanner resolves.
Pigment, binder, substrate, and material DNA, what the work is made of, not what it looks like.
Change over time. Every repair, restoration, and alteration measured against the sealed baseline.
From Capture to Continuous Proof
The work is placed in the ALETHRA™ instrument. In under a second per identity zone, telecentric imaging resolves its surface microstructure at ~3.9 microns per pixel while Near-IR, SWIR hyperspectral, and Raman modules read its molecular composition. The result is a deterministic, time-stamped baseline, the work's irrefutable reference, sealed to the blockchain and anchored to its vector identity.
The baseline records what the work is made of: pigment, binder, substrate, ground. It reads that molecular signature against the material record of every era. A '17th-century' canvas bound in modern polymer, a 'Renaissance' panel carrying titanium white: the anachronism is exposed instantly. This is how the scan dates the work, not by opinion, but by the irrefutable material evidence of when its matter was made, placing the work in its true period and exposing every later hand.
Hyperspectral and infrared imaging with microstructure comparison reveals inpainting, overpaint, restoration, and substitution. Because every later capture is compared against the sealed baseline, any deviation, however small, is detected and documented.
Once the baseline exists, a guided mobile workflow re-verifies the work anywhere in the world, at the freeport, the viewing, the saleroom, or the buyer's hands. In seconds, the field capture is checked against the laboratory baseline to prove the object is the certified original and that nothing has changed.
Every re-verification is compared against the immutable baseline under ALETHRA™ governance. If a work is altered, restored, or swapped, ALETHA™ detects the deviation, flags it, and routes it for human review, strengthening connoisseurship, never replacing it.
Identity is not a claim. It is a measurable condition of structure, composition, and continuity.
